Jawaab has ambitious plans to expand the reach of our work over the next 12 months, involving more young people in our programmes and campaigns.
We are excited to announce that we are recruiting a new part time (0.2 FTE) team member to support these developments – a Project Support Officer.

“Jawaab” means to ‘answer/reply’ or ‘to fulfil a purpose’, across parts of Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Jawaab is a grassroots youth movement seeking to address inequalities in race and ethnicity. Our aims are to:
- Raise awareness of social and political issues minority groups are facing.
- Challenge hate, racism, inequality and injustice.
- Break down negative misconceptions, stereotypes and preconceived notions about particular communities.
- Mobilise a grassroots youth movement which provides young people a safe space for expression and a platform to develop into future leaders.
Project Support Officer
As Outreach and Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for making contact with community groups, schools and colleges, supporting them to take advantage of Jawaab’s workshops. A highly skilled communicator and organiser, you will coordinate Jawaab’s relationship and capacity building work, as well as providing office management and project support where needed.
